AMIC’s Radiographic Procedure courses provides training to produce radiographs from head to toe! The courses provide actual video demonstrations and factual information. The online format allows 24/7 access to the course in the convenience of your home or office simply by using the log in/out feature.

OBJECTIVES for the course:

• Prepare the patient for and perform the radiographic examinations.

• Radiographic views, patient position, body part position, and central ray projection will be demonstrated.

• Equipment needed to perform the radiograph will be demonstrated.

By the end of this section, the participant should be able to:

1. Prepare for and perform radiographic examinations.

2. Describe the radiographic view (s).

3. Define patient position.

4. Define body part position.

5. Identify the necessary central ray.

6. Identify and match medical terms related to positioning patients for radiographic examinations.

7. Identify external landmarks used in radiographic positioning.

8. Identify the equipment needed to complete the radiographic examination.

 

Instructions to complete the Radiographic Procedures Courses

The course can be completed in three easy steps for each lesson; watch the videos and Power points, complete the review, and take the review quiz. Completing each of the review quizzes will lead to success on the final exam. All review quizzes must be completed with a score of at least 70% along with passing the final exam with a score of 75% in order to earn the course certificate. Three attempts are allowed to pass the final exam. If you exceed the three attempts to pass the final exam simply renew your online course subscription.
